= Wiki for UiB's NanoStructures Laboratory. =

UiB's NanoStructures laboratory is equipped with modern thin-film processing and lithography equipment. The lab is built around an electron-beam lithography tool (Raith e-Line) which can be used to pattern resist thin-films with minimal structure sizes of the order of 10 nanometer. The resist layers can be used to transfer the pattern into other thin-films that are either deposited using an electron-beam evaporator (Temescal FC-2000) or a spin-coater. For the pattern transfer a reactive-ion etcher (RIE, Plasmatherm 790+) is available as well as a wet-bench fumehood to perform wet-etch and lift-off processes. An improvised UV-exposure setup is available for crude patterning.

We use this WikiMedia site for documentation of all equipment, facilities and standard operating procedures of the laboratory. As a registered user of the laboratory you will receive permission to log into this site, which will allow you to contribute to the documentation and give information on the processes particular to your project.

==How to use==

Directions for use: It is important to treat Hydrofluoric Acid burns at once. Immediately wash of the affected area with copious amounts of water for atleast one minute. Carefully remove contaminated clothing taking care not to contaminate further areas of skin. Apply H-F Antidote gel on and around the affected area with gentle massage. Seek medical attention. Continue to massage the gel into the affected area, using repeated applications until 15 minutes after the pain has subsided, or until medical treatment is available. If, after medical treatment, pain should re-occur at the burn site, re-applay the H-F Antidote Gel and seek further medical attention at once.

Precautions: In all cases lf Hydrofluoric Acid burns, it is important to use this First Aid treatment without delay. There are no known contraindications for use, or interactions with other products. Discard all opend tubes of H-F Antidote Gel after treatment.

Make sure to check the expiration date of the H-F Antidote. If it is close to the expiration date(or expired) a new supply should be bought.

==How to aquire==

H-F antidote is bought from the pharmacy (http://www.vitusapotek.no/), closest one is at Bergen Storesenter. You will need a prescription from a doctor. The UiB doctor will provide this. For now the contact information for the UiB doctor is

*Name: Antic, Ruza
*Title: bedriftslege
*Tlf: 55 58 20 54
*E-mail: Ruza.Antic@adm.uib.no

This could change in the future, but you can find the doctor on this page (http://www.uib.no/hms/kontakt/ansattkatalog) with the title "bedriftslege". The webpage uib.no/hms is for the health and safty department of UiB.

You need a prescription and the pharmacy will need to order the H-F antidote so you can not get it the same day. In addition the H-F antidote costs around 1500kr so you might want a requisition from the finacial department of IFT so you do not have to pay for it yourself.

==How to aquire==
